"Little Explorers" is a porcelain collector plate from the M.I.Hummel collection entitled "Little Companions." The plate is trimmed in 23kt gold and was created exclusively for the Danbury Mint. It comes with the Certificate of Authenticity that was issued to the original purchaser with the serial number TV3794. It is in perfect condition with no nicks, cracks or blemishes of any kind. These "Elephant Bookends" are cast in a heavy clay or plaster and were made in China. They are about 4.5" tall x 3.75"(nose to tail) x 3". This "Net of Fruit" is so realistic looking that my neice tried to eat one of the pears. It contains one avocado, one pomegranate, one lemon, one peach, one nectarine, one orange, four big apples (different varieties), three little red apples, two kiwis, two bananas, two bunches of purple grapes, one bunch of red & green grapes and two pears. Some are plastic, some are rubber and some are styrofoam. It is in a red net that originally held gourdes. The pomegranate has a few small nicks it it but, can be placed in such a way that they do not show. Other than that and the pear with the teeth marks all the fruit is in perfect condition.
